Don’t turn back.

Gen 19:26 But his wife, looked back behind him and she became a pillar of salt.

I have always wondered why Lot’s wife turned and looked back towards Sodom and Gomorrah when she was told told not to turn around or she would become a pillar of salt. As she turned around to take one last look that was a sign of disobediece to God. Did she turn because she wanted to go back live amongest the sinners and her friends. Had she become so accustomed to the sin around her the sin in her life that she was scared to leave it behind and start fresh somewhere else. We may never know what caused her to turn back and look. But whatever it was it caused her demise.

When we become christians if we don’t have a soild foundation it may cause us to turn and look back just as Lots wife did. Or if we struggle with a certain sin it also can cause us to look back at our old lifestyle and maybe go back to it. I know there has been a few times that I have wanted to give up but I don’t want to go back to that old lifestyle.Because looking back and wanting something back from your old life can destroy you in so many ways.
