Sitting underneath your Juniper tree.

1kings19:14 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree; and he requested for himself that he may die; and said it is not enough now O lord take away my life for I am not better than my fathers.
When we have been hurt or been left out we do like Elijah did we go find a Juniper tree. Sometimes we have a tendency to sit underneath that tree until we come to a spiritual death. But that is not what God has designed for us. He designed us to fight and win the battles . If we sit underneath that tree too long we may forget how to win that battle. Our battles ca be won and lost in our minds  or how we react to them. Our hurt only should last for a season unless we hold on it and refuse to leave the safety of our Juniper tree

  1. thank you for the lovely reflection on verse found in kings. It is sooooo true that we often look, especially when we have been wronged, pity and loath and keep ourselves down. We listen to sad music, sleep more, cut everyone off, and ask why me. I can’t remember how many times I have done that and realized God used it as a means to teach and outreach. It may be cliche but it things happen for a reason. Time to get out of the shade and into the light.thanks again. Blessings
