Acts12:13 And when he knocked at the door of the gateway,a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer
14 And Peters voice in her joy she had not opened the door but ran in and reported that Peter was standing at the gate.
As they were praying for Peter’s release. He shows up at the gate of the house. As Rhoda opened at the window she sees Peter. She slams it shut and runs into tell them that Peter was standing out there. I can only imagine their surprise. At that point all of them realized how powerful prayer really is.
Sometimes when we pray we don’t pray hard enough so the gate will open. A lot of times we allow our distractions to stop us from reaching that gate so we can enter to the other side. Distractions can become dangerous because they hinder us and make us lose our focus. When we lose our focus we just sit at the gate waiting for our miracle.
Or we may doubt him in his answer to our prayer. What makes us doubt his answer is because of the timing or the season we maybe in . A lot of the time when we doubt him is when he answers a prayer not in our timeframe but his timeframe so he can open that gate for us.
